Our friends, the Bennett's, were here from Utah this weekend and we had so much fun hanging out with them! Owen LOVES having older boys who will play with him, so Owen immediately latched onto Ethan, who is five. On Saturday we all went to San Diego to enjoy the perfect weather and Sea World. Here we are waiting for the Shamu Show to start.
Shamu isn't what it used to be. Trainers no longer go in the water with the whales, so all the show consists of is whales splashing the audience and a couple of jumps out of the water. The kids seemed to enjoy it though, which is all that matters.
The tide pools seemed to be a universal hit with all the kids. Owen was afraid of some of the other exhibits because they were too dark, but he couldn't get enough of the sea stars.
Spencer had to watch Owen really close, since all Owen wanted to do was throw the sea stars as far as he could into the water.
Here we all are. This picture was taken at the end of the day. As you can see Owen and Audrey were trashed tired.
Just so you know I was the one who carried Audrey around all day in her carrier, but Spencer decided to carry her out to the parking lot when we were going home...Thanks Babe!! This was actually the first time ever Spencer has even wore this carrier with Owen or Audrey.
If the day wasn't long enough, after Sea World we drove out to my parent's house to celebrate my mom's birthday!! We went out to dinner at Claim Jumper and then had cake and presents back at their house. This is a picture of all my mom's gifts.
Saturday was a long day, and Owen is still trying to catch up on sleep, but it was a blast!! San Diego is so beautiful and we can't wait to hang out with the Bennett's again.

We had a blast!!!! We can't wait for you to come up and see all Utah has to offer. Ok we don't have much but it will still be fun. Whenever Ethan sees a Chili's he gets so excited and reminds us that is where we ate with Spencer Holly Owen and Audrey. He wants to spend the night at Owens so let us know and we will mail him down. THANKS again!!!
Oh fun!!! That makes me even more excited for Sea World in June!!! We can't wait to see you guys :)

I agree when leif and I went a few years ago even before the trainner was attacked the show was not the same. When leif and I go in July we want to go to knotts berry farm there is so much to do in California.
