For some time now I have been trying to take my kids hiking at Mt. Rubidoux. It just seems like every time I made plans to go something else would come up. Well after probably 3 months of attempting to go we finally made the trip this past Friday. With it being Spring Break it was easy to get some friends to come along for the adventure.
And let me tell you....it sure was an adventure!! There were 4 women, 4 double strollers, and 15 kids (ages 1 month to 10) that hiked to the top. The kids were troopers as there wasn't much complaining, but they were happy when we finally reached the top!! It was the perfect day to be outdoors and doing something active.
Here are most of the kids at the top of the mountain. It was hard to wrangle all 15 kids in for a group picture.

My two are pretty used to being in the stroller since I walk with them several days a week, so they did really well. Both of them even got out and walked a bit. Owen walked almost the whole way back down the mountain....can't believe how big he is getting!
So would I do it again? For sure!! Next time we will know where to park so half the "hike" isn't walking to the actual hike. It's always fun to spend the day with friends and if I can teach my kids about staying active that's always a plus too!

Holly, You're the best mom! You're always doing the most fun things with your kids! And um, let me get this straight... you pushed a double stroller with two grown children in it up a mountain when you're pregnant??? You go girl!
