Today we were able to talk Spencer into taking a day off of work so we could go to the beach. We met the Duncan's at Salt Creek Beach near San Clemente. We've never been there before and it was absolutely beautiful. It was a great family beach. The only downside was that the parking was up above the beach so we had to walk back up a hill at the end of the day to get back to our car. A small price to pay for such a fun and relaxing day.
The kids had so much fun running and playing in the waves. Audrey was in the water pretty much the entire day and its always fun for me to see Owen get in the water. Owen's the kid that's usually happier playing in the sand and not in the cold ocean water.
I love how much my kids enjoy the beach. Its the perfect thing that we can do together as a family because everyone enjoys it.
Of course the beach is always more fun with friends. It was kind of funny how the girls ended up spending the most time together, as did the boys. Only a year ago Owen and Kaelyn would have been the ones playing together. Times are changing!
