I named this post the Best Day Ever! because that's what Owen kept saying all day long! For our 10th day of Advent, and to celebrate Owen's 6th birthday, Spencer took the day off work and we pulled Owen out of school a little early to spend the day at Disneyland!! Owen wanted to spend the day with his two cousins, Hudson and Carter. I was so glad that we were able to pull it off and get both boys, as well as Grandma Diane to spend the day with us. Owen has in heaven the entire day! Spencer and I were happy to make our little boys birthday wishes come true.
These boys are such sweet cousins. They were all born within 4 months of each other and it's been really fun watching them grow up together. Owen didn't even let his broken arm get him down today.
So Owen had a whole vision of how he wanted his day at Disneyland to go. This included going to the gift shop in Tomorrow Land and making light-sabers. Each boy got to design and build their own light-saber. This was seriously the best activity for 5 and 6 year old boys, they loved it!
The highlight of the day was going to the Jedi training camp. Owen had it set in his mind that he was going to be chosen to fight Darth Vader, so we did all that we could to make his little dream come true. Luckily all our screaming and pointing did get him chosen! Owen was thrilled beyond belief!
When he got up there I could see that he got a little nervous, but he did great. You could see it in his eyes that he was really trying to concentrate and learn all the moves he needed to defeat Darth Vader.
The big moment arrived! Owen's big birthday dream came true!!
